I did it. I finally freaking finished. I’ve actually handed over the completed sweater. And I’m so proud of how it turned out! So proud I even named it. Introducing…The City Cardigan! In case you haven’t been following along with the shenanegans, you can catch up here, here, and here.
It fits my friend perfectly, and there are actually remarkably few spots that make me cringe when I look closely. I’d consider that a victory! I love the long, flowy collar piece (I decided not to finish the edge so it would stay nice and drapey, without added bulk), and I’m a big fan of the band I decided to add along the bottom hem. Somehow, miraculously, the shoulders fit nicely, and I hemmed the sleeves a little on the long side, the way she likes them. Here are a few more photos of the finished cardigan! (Thanks to my beautiful friend for agreeing to get her supermodel on, despite a crazy NYC wind storm, and to my hubby for taking such lovely photos in said wind storm.)
Now I’m just gonna crank out another one in the black sweater knit I found in this post, and I’ll reeeeally be done!
